Murri Christmas & Happy New Year from Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd!
The CEO and staff of Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd would like to extend our warmest wishes for a Deadly Christmas and an even Deadlier New Year to all our Darumbal People, Darumbal Elders, Community Elders, Community Members, Partners, and Stakeholders.
Office Closure
Please note that our office will be closed from 13th December 2024 and will reopen on 6th January 2025.
Highlights of 2024
This year has been a landmark for Darumbal Enterprises, and we’re thrilled to share some of the key milestones:
- Signing of an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) with Central Queensland Power for the Moah Creek Windfarm project.
- Collaboration with a New Traineeship Program with Stanwell Power Station, creating opportunities to train more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the energy sector.
- Darumbal Civil continued its commitment to empowering youth by training young Darumbal people in operating machinery such as bobcats, tractors, diggers, and forklifts.
- Darumbal Cultural Services has been proud to collaborate with:
- Rockhampton Regional Council (RRC) on the redevelopment of the Botanical Gardens.
- Queensland Tourism, Sport, and Recreation on the redevelopment of Browne Park.
Additionally, Darumbal Enterprises expanded its workforce from 7 to 13 Full time staff this year and is set to welcome 6 more in 2025, this not including our 43 Casual & Volunteer Staff. We are also planning to move into a new office space sometime next year to accommodate the growth of Darumbal People Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC and its businesses, including:
- Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd
- Darumbal Civil Pty Ltd
- Tunuba Pty Ltd
- Darumbal Cultural & Language Services
- TUMRA – Traditional Use Marine Resource Agreement
- Darumbal Land & Sea Ranger Program
The Darumbal Directors, Elders, and staff are proud of these expansions and achievements and are excited about the opportunities ahead in 2025.
